Glen Abbey Golf Club, 1333 Dorval Drive, Oakville Ontario L6J 4Z3

Each year the Toronto Branch of the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum, in collaboration with the Canadian Mineral Processors of Southern Ontario, presents industry golfers with an opportunity to entertain valued customers while pitching their skills against each other and the showcase PGA course for Canadian golf.

CIM Toronto and CMP invites its members, friends and mining industry colleagues to join us for the day in beautiful Oakville, Ontario, only one hour from downtown Toronto. You can participate in the day of competitive golf, contests within the game, good conversations, a fine steak dinner, respite from the office desk, the inevitable side bets and networking at its most informal and relaxed.

The Jack Nicklaus-designed Glen Abbey Golf Course will once again host the Canadian Open in 2017 and is now the most frequent stop of the PGA tour in Canada. Glen Abbey has a challenge for all levels of golfer - from its inviting, wide fairways on the front nine to its ravine holes along Sixteen Mile Creek, including the showcase 11th hole made famous by John Daly’s monster 390-yard drive from its elevated tee into Sixteen Mile Creek in 1994.

Year after year the Canadian Open is decided at the iconic 18th hole by a risk taker and 2016 was no different. Come and see how you fare at the hole that dares golfers to approach across the water as Tiger Woods did with a six iron from a fairway bunker in 2000 to win the event in dramatic fashion and become only the third person to achieve golf’s Triple Crown of the US Open, the (British) Open and the Canadian Open in the same year,

Our hosts, ClubLink and the venerable Glen Abbey Golf Club, annually deliver a professional experience for CIM/CMP golf participants. A fine assortment of golf-related gifts from CIM/CMP, ClubLink and tournament sponsors await contest winners. In addition each golfer will receive a gift bag thanking them for attending.
